Ivf - period should have started last friday but hasnt could it have worked?

my hubby and i had ivf treatment, the embreyo was implanted on 13/06/11. My period was due last friday but not come and i have alot of symptons i.e eating loads more, feel tired and weak but the hospital said these could be due to the injections for the treatment and to only do the test next monday. my hubby and i have been trying for over 6 years now with 2 failed iui attempts. i feel like i need 2 know now, on monday we travel abroad and will be on the plane for 8 hours i just cant wait, do u think i should do the test today?
