Wireless adapter not connected?

This mornin, my Internet connection was working fine, but after eating lunch, I noticed that my primary connection (local area connection) did not show up in the network and sharing center. When I checked the network map, it said "the adapter is not connected." The problem here is that my adapter is integrated in my desktop, so I'm ginning to myself "how is that even possible?". Anyone know a solution?
