Why do people continue to propose the Jesus/Horus idea?

Most of the "similarities" between the two have been either mis-represented or completely false in the first place. Other connections are purely coincidental. Massey was NOT a highly intelligent person, so i don't know why his idiotic theory gained any prominence.
