Are there any South African boxers who did as much for the sport as Manny Pacquiao has?

Look, "E", i've done my share of Pacquiao bashing here, but at the same time, i have said time and time again i don't have any problem with his number 1 P4P status. There are not many boxers period who are as popular as Pacquiao and who have brought more casual fans to the sport. My own girlfriend's family is quite ignorant about most aspects of the sport, (i.e. thinking Manny is undefeated), but there are almost 70 relatives over her home when Manny fights, and her grandma, who is suffering from dementia, actually perks up during a Pacquiao fight. Even Donaire will not have this kind of popularity. Now, this does not mean South African's should not be proud of "the white buffalo", and many other fighters from that region, but let's keep it real. It's almost unfair to even make the comparison
