Has anyone had success with taking Clomid?

My husband and I have been TTC #1 for 6 months. I just recently found out my LH levels are low so I am either not ovulating or not ovulating when I should so...my doctor is starting me on Clomid. I take my first pill tomorrow. I was just wondering if anyone has had any success with this? I work with 2 girls who hav PCOS and it has not worked for them, they even tried IUI and that was unsuccessful too. Now they are saving up to move on to try IVF. So this scares me...I do not have PCOS but I am just curious if this works for people. She also gave m provera to induce my period, but this month I ended up getting it on my own (late) but without taking anything. So I'd love to hear from you if you have had success with just Clomid alone. Thanks!! :)
